Nutrition Exp. Sustainable Living Activist
Devoting herself to the profession of nutrition and diet in 1990, Dilara Koçak graduated from Hacettepe University, Department of "Nutrition and Dietetics". She completed her master's degree at the same university, receiving the title of specialist. She worked in various hospitals in the United States between 2003-2004 and established Mezura clinics with the experience she gained there. Besides her individual nutrition counseling and diet therapy services, she is the pioneer of Corporate Wellness practice in Turkey. Having been working on individual nutrition for years, Specialist Dietitian Dilara Koçak has focused on feeding the planet in recent years. She carried out many projects as the supporter of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Zero Waste Zero Hunger project. She continues to work as an active supporter of the "Preserve Your Food, Protect Your Table" campaign in cooperation with FAO and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, which is the continuation project of the Save Food: Global Initiative on Food Loss and Waste Reduction launched by FAO in 2011. Having been sharing her full-time knowledge and experience with the masses for years with the motto "The planet is sick, the earth is sick, the air is sick, the water is sick" to raise awareness about the climate crisis, hunger, and waste, Dilara Koçak supports the "feed the future" movement with DK Dükkan gıda ve yaşam ürünleri (DK Store food and wellness products), which she is the founder of. Prioritizing local producers, women in cooperatives in her recipes developed for soup, snacks, and functional beverages, she brings her products together with the consumers in glass jars/bottles. Her "Wellness Diary" study was first published in 2005 and has become a classic for those who care about their health for twelve years with its changing subject and content. Koçak published the books, namely Dilara Koçak ile İyi Yaşam (Wellness with Dilara Koçak) in 2007, Afiyetle Diyet Kitapları (Diet Books with Real Pleasure) in 2009, and Afiyetle Diyet Tarifleri (Diet Recipes with Real Pleasure) in 2015. Being also a columnist for Milliyet newspaper, CEO Life, and Hello magazines, Koçak has prepared and presented programs on wellness and nutrition on CNN Türk, Kanal D, TRT, and HaberTürk channels. Having a strong interaction in digital communication channels, Koçak shares her 25 years of professional experience on diet and health with all her followers via her own mobile application. All aspects of wellness are in her area of interest, and Koçak, telling about eco-friendly choices, gourmet tastes, travel, exercise, sustainability, nutrition and diet, and zero waste experiences on social media, is a significant guide who follows and shares trends in this sense. She was selected as the "Most Successful Wellness Influencer" in the Marketing Turkey BoomSonar Social Media Awards organization in 2019, 2020, and 2021.
