ALİ COŞKUN

He was born in Baspinar of Erzincan-Kemaliye in 1939. His family emigrated to Ankara in the 1940s so as to educate their children. He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Yildiz Technical University Faculty, did Master's Degree in Business Economics at the Faculty of Business Administration of Istanbul University. He had the title of Electrical Engineer, Certified Public Accountant, Industrialist. After having performed his internship at Merinos Plants in Bursa, he was appointed to Kayseri Pamuklu Sanayii, and met with İbrahim Bodur having established Canakkale Seramik there, this meeting was a turning point in his career. He is senior manager of Kale Group of Companies and Bisan Bicycle Industry Inc. He served as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Istanbul Chamber of Industry, Presidency of TOBB (turkish union of chambers and commodity exchanges), Vice President of the Union of Chambers of Islamic Countries, Chairman of the Turkish National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce, DEIK Founder Chairman. He has the Hamburg Wirtschaff Academie Honorary Diploma. There are Çanakkale Ceramics Inc., Kaleporselen Electro Technical Industries Inc., Kalebodur Ceramics Industry Inc., Turkish Suudi Investment Holding Inc, Turkey Sugar FactoriesInc., Bisan Bisiklet Industry and Trade Inc, Coşkun Engineering Consulting Trade Inc. among the companies managed by him. The number of companies that he established in person has been fourteen with Ihlas Finans. Vocational and voluntary organizations that he has served; Deputy Chairman of the Board of Istanbul Chamber of Industry, Deputy Chairman of the National Productivity Center, TSE General Assembly and International Electro-technical Commission Delegation, Chairman of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, Chairman of the Turkish National Committee of International Chamber of Commerce, Founding Chairman of Foreign Economic Relations Board, Founding Deputy Founder of Yıldız University Foundation, President of Business World Foundation, Business World Foundation of Fatih University Board of Trustees, General Vice President of Intellectuals, Union Foundation and Turkish Music Foundation Founders Board Member, Member of Chamber of Electrical Engineers, Member of TURMOB Istanbul Chamber of Certified Public Accountants. He has the books named Turkey's Energy Problems and Solutions, Economic Concepts and Indicators. He has the research-review essays and articles published in many newspapers and magazines. Ali Coskun's biography has been collected into book, who is also the owner of the "Sustainable Living Award" which was given by the National Energy Forum in 2008. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of TOBB Economics and Technology University. He knows English and German and is married and father of two children.
