Ali Nasuh MAHRUKİ was born in Istanbul on May 21, 1968. After completing his primary and secondary education at Şişli Terakki High School, he graduated from Bilkent University Faculty of Business Administration in 1992 and from the National Security Academy in 2004. Mahruki, a national athlete, professional mountaineer, writer and photographer, is involved in mountaineering, caving, paragliding, scuba diving, motor sports, sailing and cycling. Mahruki completed all five ascents of Soviet Asia above 7000 meters and was given the title of SNOW LEOPARD by the Russian Mountaineering Federation, which has not been repeated in Turkey, he is the first Turkish and the first Muslim mountaineer in the world to climb Mount Everest and the 46th mountaineer to complete the SEVEN PEAKS project. He became the youngest mountaineer in the world. He climbed Cho Oyu - (Turkey's highest solo climb), Lhotse and K2 - (Turkey's highest oxygen-free climb) mountains above 8000 meters without oxygen support. He became the 70th climber to climb Mount Everest and K2, the highest and second highest mountains in the world. He climbed Mount Everest once again after 15 years. He made motorcycle trips in Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Sikkim, Tibet, Bhutan, Mongolia and various countries in Europe. He gives motivational speeches and seminars on topics such as leadership, teamwork, personal development, self-awareness, goal orientation, determination, discipline, risk management, and taught "Teamwork and Leadership" at a university. It organizes Leadership in Nature camps for children and adults between the ages of 8-15. He has been a columnist in various newspapers and magazines and has prepared documentary programs on various television channels. He shares his knowledge with children, families, adults, schools and institutions at Nasuh Mahruki Doğada Leadership School. Due to his pioneering social entrepreneurship in rescue efforts, he was selected as a Fellow of the ASHOKA Foundation from the USA - (2004). He was deemed worthy of the INTERNATIONAL GUSI PEACE AWARD from the Philippines (2009) and HONORARY DOCTORATE in the field of Social Sciences from Bilkent University (2012). Awarded with the JUUKH BICHIG certificate of appreciation by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism of Mongolia – (2014). He is a Founding Member of AKUT - Search and Rescue Association and served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for 18 years and Honorary Chairman for 2 years, but later returned the Honorary Chairmanship. He is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Board of Directors of the AKUT Foundation, and the Chairman of the Board of AKUT Sports Club. He is the Vice President of the Ataturkist Thought Association. He is a member of UGSAD - National Security and Strategic Research Association, Turkish National Olympic Committee, SAD - Underwater Research Association, Travelers Club Association. He is the Founding Board Member of the Common Ideals Association and the ASHOKA Foundation established in Turkey. Nasuh Mahruki married Mine Mahruki in a traditional wedding ceremony during a motorcycle trip to the Kingdom of Bhutan in the Himalayas in 2009, and their son Barlas was born in 2013 and their daughter Bilge was born in 2015.
