Captain of Turkey National Basketball Team / Team Work Expert ENTREWAR Mentor
Sinan Güler, who was born in 1983, started playing basketball at Istanbul Technical University like his brother, then was transferred to Beşiktaş and had his first professional match here in 2001. He then went to America on an athletic scholarship and played in Salt Lake Community College and Carroll College for two years each and returned to Turkey in the summer of 2006.
Starting a new career in Turkey at Darüşşafaka, Sinan then played in Beşiktaş, Anadolu Efes (Efes Pilsen), Galatasaray, and Fenerbahçe and returned back to Darüşşafaka for 3 seasons. Playing in over 500 games in the Basketball Super League, Sinan began his career in the "A National Team" in 2009 and was a part of the legendary team that won the silver medal at the World Championships in Turkey in 2010.
After the 2014 World Championship, he was made the captain of the "A National Team" and continued to be the captain until his last game with the A National Team in 2019.
In 2011, he stepped into the world of social entrepreneurship with the first summer camps of Güler Legacy, which he founded. The camps received the participation of nearly 900 athletes in 9 years, and up to 400 athletes from 35 different provinces in Turkey with limited sports facilities attended free of charge. Athletes from France, Spain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Azerbaijan among others were also included in the camp both with scholarships and fees.
After getting into the entrepreneurship ecosystem with an investment in the Lastik Pabuç (Rubber Shoe) initiative in 2011, he started to be an angel investor in 2013. He has invested in 24 enterprises to date. In April, he also launched the first sports vertical accelerator programs in Turkey.
