Tülin Akın has done her undergraduate education in Agricultural Marketing at Akdeniz University and then completed Anadolu University Faculty of Business Administration. She earned a micro MBA degree from Boğaziçi University in 2012. Additionally,she took leadership training on the field of System Change at Harvard University in 2022 to improve her leadership skills. Tülin Akın's entrepreneurial career started with Tarimsalpazarlama.com, which she founded in 2004 when she was a student. This platform has played an important role as one of the firsts in the fields of communication, e-learning and e-commerce in Turkey's agricultural sector. In 2007, she received a first place reward for becoming in e-export in the Stars of Export Program and modeled farmer credit cards by collaborating with banks to provide financial resources to farmers. In this context,she visited approximately 12,000 villages and provided information to farmers. In addition to that she established the Farmers' Club together with Vodafone and launched agricultural early warning systems by providing special information and services to 1 million 400 thousand farmers and their families in the agricultural sector. She produced a special farmer's computer software supported by Intel and created a platform that everyone who can read and write can use, offering the opportunity to ask questions from experts. Tülin Akın has pioneered various social responsibility projects in order to increase water awareness in rural areas and prevent tractor accidents. Tülin Akın, who is also active in the field of volunteering, worked as a Change Consultant and Social Entrepreneur Mentor at Özyeğin University. She also participated in various programs such as Türk Telekom Developing Entrepreneurship and Boğaziçi Entrepreneur Mentorship. Her achievements and contributions have been honored with many awards; she received the Agricultural Trade Development Award from the Turkish Agriculturalists Association in 2012, Turkey's Changemaker Award from the Sabancı Foundation in 2013, 2013 JCI - TOYP 10 Successful Young People of the World Entrepreneurship Award, 2013 Anita Borg Institute International Social Impact Award, and 2013 Garanti -KAGIDER Female Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award. She was also nominated for the Nobel Prize by the United Nations in 2014. Tülin Akın is the founding partner of "TABİT Agricultural Information and Communication Technologies" and "Agricultural Marketing" companies. Additionally, she launched one of the world's first smart villages in Aydın under the sponsorship of Vodafone. Tülin Akın has been deemed worthy of international awards such as the Schwab World's Best Social Entrepreneur Award (2018) at the World Economic Forum and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Goalkeepers Award (2018). She has also participated in important initiatives such as membership of the United Nations Sustainability Goals for 2030, InBusiness Sustainability, and the Bloomberg Breakthrough Leaders community.
