Yücel Yüksel was born in Istanbul in 1973, completed his primary and secondary school education in Bakırköy. He studied computer programming at Ankara University Kastamonu Vocational School between 1991 and 1993. After finishing his computer programming degree he started studying another bachelor degree at Mimar Sinan University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Sociology and completed it in 1997. Yüksel completed his master's thesis in the field of "Logic" at Istanbul University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Philosophy, in 2001, and his doctorate in 2006. Yüksel, has tarted working as a Research Assistant at Istanbul University, Faculty of Letters, Department of Philosophy in 1998, gained the title of assistant professor in 2009, associate professor in 2012, and professor in 2018 at the same university. He currently continues his research in the fields of "Logic" and "Philosophy of Science" at the Department of Logic. Yücel Yüksel is one of the editors of two books, "Chaos" (2005) and "Infinity and Relativity" (2008), published by Istanbul Kültür University. He also edited the book "A Gift to Şafak Ural" (2012), the 7th issue of Felsefi Düşün Magazine titled "Logic" (October 2016), and the book "Science Philosophy Writings I" (2021) together with Semra Uçar. Yüksel also has a catalog book called "Logic Studies in Turkey from the Tanzimat to the Present" (2013) and a book called "Propositions and Truth Values in Logic from Traditional to Modern" (2017). In addition, Yüksel's articles in Turkish and English, as well as their translations from English, have been published.
